The Easter Egg Freebie

Hello All!
We just wanted to share a freebie with you!  Our kiddos this year love to write and love to illustrate.  We just read The Easter Egg by Jan Brett and then had our kiddos do an activity where they got to describe and illustrate the type of Easter egg they would decorate for the Easter Bunny.

Here are some of my favorites that some of my kiddos did!

I really love this one.  This kiddo is not one of my best artists by a long shot, but for him this is GREAT work and I love the creativity of it!
Just click on the picture of the writing page below if you would like to have your kiddos do this activity!

Enjoy!!!!
We are also having a sale in our TPT store Saturday and Sunday!

I Needed a Laugh...

Both of my girls ended up with ear infections over Spring Break and are finally on antibiotics.  This is good....however, yesterday they woke up with runny noses and hacking coughs.  So basically the antibiotic should take care of the ear infection but we have somehow managed to catch a nasty virus which can't be treated with antibiotics!  Ugghhhhhhhhh!!!!
So I was not really excited about leaving my sick babies at home and coming back to work with kiddos today.  Luckily I got a laugh within the first 20 minutes of school! (so did everyone else in my pod because I had to share!!!)
This is what one of my kiddos wrote for his weekend update this morning.

( I went to science city.  They had a pet musuem.  I learned about a rocket ship!  I saw slimy things.  Theres a person sized hamster ball.  I got high!  I went to eat noodles.  We passed by sprint center.)

Now if I was teaching high school I would be VERY worried since this kiddo apparently got high and then got the munchies and ate noodles!!!!  Ha!!! Thank goodness he is 8 and I can use my detective skills to figure out what he really meant!  Thank goodness for a good laugh first thing in the morning!

We have also finished a new craftivity and writing activity, Something to Tweet About.  If you would like to check it out just click on the picture below!

We also bundled our 3 favorite spring craftivity and writing activities!  Click on the picture below to check it out on TPT!

We would love to give the Something to Tweet About Activity away to the first 2 people who comment and leave an email. We will also be doing a giveaway on our facebook page very soon for the bundle of all 3 craftivity and writing activities so if you are not following us on facebook you might want to!

Goodbye Spring Break, Blogger Meet Up, Follow Us, and an Amazing Giveaway!

Hello Friends!

Today is our last day of Spring Break and I am NOT ready to go back! Spring Break never seems long enough, but WOW it flew by this year! I got a lot done, had some fun, and indulged in a great book, but I still have so much more that I wanted to do.

Lisen and I had so much fun last Saturday when we met up with some wonderful bloggers from around our area in Kansas. We had lunch at The Cheesecake Factory and we laughed, and laughed, and laughed some more. We may have ordered some food, but I can't really remember. We shared teaching stories, but mostly we just laughed. I don't know of a time that I hung out with a group of people that I had just met and felt so comfortable! Leanne from Prince and Co. organized our meet up and I am so glad she did! Along with Leanne, we were able to meet Jeremie  from Apple, Crayons, and Caffine, Amy from Happy Teacher Heaven (she is having an AMAZING 100 follower giveaway), and Kahla from Miss Martin's Classroom.  It wasn't until Lisen and I got in the car to leave that we realized that we never even took a picture :(  Maybe next time we will remember to stop laughing for a brief second and take a pic!

I also FINALLY got our Pinterest and Facebook pages up and running! We would love it if you followed us! Our Facebook followers will be the first to know about freebies, giveaways, and sales :)

We are participating in EduKate and Inspire's 400 Follower Giveaway and it is Ah-mazing! If you haven't already, check it out!

March Currently

Holy criminoly March snuck up on us!!!  Our February was CRAZY!!!!  We had conferences on the 13th and 14th, which meant no kiddos Thursday and no school for us on Friday.  Woo hoo!  Kiddos are in school Wednesday and then we go right to conferences after school until 8:30 pm.  Blech!  Long Day!!!  However, the Friday off more then makes up for it!!  We followed that lovely week by President's Day off of school on the 18th and then snow days on the 21st and 22nd.  The following week we had snow days on the 26th and 27th.  Woo hoo!

Katie went a little stir crazy being home with all 3 of her kiddos by herself all those snow days, but I LOVED it!  My hubby got to work from home those days and since he is originally from Iowa and I grew up in Michigan we didn't let a little snow stop us!  We were out and about with our girls and it was FUN!My hubby even took the time to build an igloo for himself and the girls. (and if you are just dying of curiousity..no way did I wiggle by 7 month pregnant self into that igloo!  Can you say claustrophobic!!!!!!!)  :) Rylan loved the snow and couldn't get enough of it.  Brylee wanted to be out in the snow because Rylan was, but only lasted about 5 minutes at a time before she wanted to be inside!

In addition to all our snow days it has been awhile since we have had a chance to post and this was the perfect reason to make time!  We wanted to link up with Farley's March Currently.
